Brilliant or Insane is a way of branching out, in terms of content. I started as a writer in the sports world, when I wrote for a small newspaper in Ohio, The Warren Tribune. I also wrote some guest columns for places like Suite 101 and About.com, but when I became a teacher, my writing turned primarily to education.
Don't get me wrong, I love teaching (I am by trade a full-time education author and consultant), but I like to write and curate content on many subjects.
Most bloggers remain in one niche area -- sports, fashion, education, politics, etc, but I want more for Brilliant or Insane. I think a blog that features intelligent, edgy commentary on a wide array of topics is missing in the blogosphere and, perhaps, in your reader.
The main categories are simple: Education, Sports, Cleveland (my home town) and Pop Culture. Oh, and this isn't all about me; we have a marvelous team of bloggers at Brilliant or Insane. Learn more about the team here. Hopefully, you'll enjoy this, start a conversation and spread the word.
